The first meeting took place on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Edgewater Farm in Plainfield, NH. Our host, Pooh Sprague, showed us his tunnel tomatoes, followed by round-table facilitated discussion of a range of high tunnel tomato growing issues.
As part of our project, we held two farmer-to-farmer round-table discussions for experienced tunnel tomato growers, researchers, and Extension educators. One took place in Plainfield, NH, and the second one took place in Albion, ME.
We had a great turnout for these meetings, and the discussion was excellent. Notes are available here.
We’ve just finished our first Northern New England High Tunnel Conference, which took place in December 2016 in Manchester, NH. If you missed it, or just want to refresh your memory about things we talked about there, you can check out all of the presentations HERE.
